Just leave it will you? Your so bloody annoying with this ‘I know more than you’ attitude. If you know more than us mere mortals but can’t say anymore then great.
Just be a little more tactful about it. I’ve said this to you before but I’ll remind you again manners cost nothing.

I led to believe, that at Herston Works, the M7 will be worked on after Manston has left, so that might be back this year

Probably worked on in parallel, that is what has happened recently but completion date of the M7 is difficult to predict, boiler off site.

Although 2857's withdrawal might see 2022 ending with fewer working GWR 2-8-0s compared with the start of the year, not only is there still 3802 to fly the flag for the class in the immediate future but also the longer term prospects for fans of these locos look very promising indeed. Besides the four locos mentioned above (2807, 2885, 3850 and 3855), 2859, 2874, 3814, along with possibly 3862, are also being worked on. I have no inside knowledge of the likely timescale of these projects, hence the deliberately vague language but even allowing for the shutdowns of 2020/21, hopefully it won't be too long before there are several 28xxs/2884s back in action.

There is also 34053 heading to Herston to be dismantled somewhen between February and May. The plan is then for SKP to head to Norfolk for a boiler swap then back to Herston for putting back together again.

With any luck 34053 should be an entry in both categories by the end of 2022.

On the GCR, as said earlier, 78019 should have its boiler back about now and it's chassis is complete so steaming in possibly 3 months. Then 70013 should get it's boiler back and could be steaming in the Summer. Also Black 5 45491 has its boiler due for hydraulic and steam test very soon so should be ready this year.
The other two NRM locomotives, King Arthur 30777 and 04 63601 are both having boiler work done outside Loughborough shed whilst their frames and motion have been stripped down inside the shed, so completion probably next year.
45305 has been withdrawn and will need extensive boiler work.

What's the verdict on which locomotive from Barry is next to steam for the first time in preservation? 4150 must be a good contender but also 45491 is looking close?

Not one that came out of Barry but still one I'm looking forward to seeing running again is 3F 47445 at the MRC - any views on how progress is coming along?

By the sounds of the post above it sounds like the Black 5 is going to be first.

Working from memory here so apologies if I miss a contender from some not already mentioned (some of these I know are not likely for 2022 but maybe soon after?) :
3814 - this was deemed for completion @ Llangollen and it's tender was there in 2018 for use with 6880?
6984 - seemed to be coming along nicely when I last saw at S&C and now at Quainton Rd
5532 - again at Llangollen all there, bar boiler to be finished?
    7200 & 7202?
    4253 or 5668 at K&ESR?
    30499 at Ropley
35009 ?? anyone know how this one is fairing?
    48173
    75079 & 76077 are well reported

Bo'ness reporting the Prestongrange Barclay is coming out of service early 2022 but the caretakers have approved an overhaul.
