According to the GCR website, Tornado is running this weekend......so we can admire Sheff's efforts!

 

Ta! …. though it’s far from my finest work I’d have to say. Never attempted the entire loco and tender paintwork in one session before, or started with her quite that filthy. (I’d already done the motion before Xmas).

Thanks, but really I just feel fortunate to be able to spend a few hours with her every year when she’s in this area. Others do far more in terms of volunteering.

No, the worst you ever see it is when it gets back from a run in bad weather. I did suggest that it was put back to this condition for old time sake but I got a two word answer! I don't think Belmond would have been very impressed
