Rather a long time after the event, I know, but here's a YouTube clip of Britannia's first revenue-earning train since overhaul, The Cathedrals Express from Oxford to Canterbury on 7th April 2011.

The only photograph I've had published recently was of that train. I saw her outside of Oxford on a beautiful morning. I'll watch the video when I get home from work :) .

We are pleased to announce that our Golden Arrow Tour on Saturday 26th October will be hauled by 70000 Britannia (subject to availability) and she will be running as long lost classmate 70014 'IRON DUKE'.

70014 was one of the locomotives that traditionally operated this service and this will be a rare chance to see 70000 running on the mainline as a long lost classmate in full Golden Arrow regalia.

Tickets are already very limited so book yours today!

As far as I know, there will be a bit of an issue with that.

The bridge over the SVR & mainline at Kidderminster is being replaced, and the line will not be open until Easter.

All that said, I cannot see that the mainline is being effected, so there may still be a way through.

It might be depending on the temporary lifting of the bridge 104 possession for the SVR/BR exchange line. There will be periods where I can see that might be possible - between lifting the old bridge and demolishing the central pier, and again between demolition of the pier and lifting in the new bridge. All down to four-way discussions between LSL, SVR. Story and NR I guess.

There are gaps in the works where we can gain access to both Platform 1 and the C&W and therefore the mainline connection.
