    Quite!

AFAIK death has only occurred from hydraulic hose failure at pressures many times greater than those found in steam locomotives and in actively pumped systems. Some hoses are designed to operate at 10,000 psi.

The hose in use has crimped ends and even the cheapest hose is going to be good for 1000 psi working pressure. It certainly isn't a cheap water hose.

It was only the hydraulic test, steam test yet to come. Won't be long though.

Serves me right for relying on Rail Advent for that bit of news .

Edit. See that RA have now amended their tweet to say it was the hydraulic test.

Just had official email confirming "hydraulic test" passed yesterday, working towards steam test.
The plan for the 12th Feb 2022, is for her to be in light steam, that is from the most recent chime magazine.

Why you shouldn’t trust RailAdvent, example 184,294...

    Absolutely bloody useless.

I wouldn’t worry about it to much Dave, but at least we know now where Steam Railway’s starting to get its news from now the decent staff have left! ;)

Spent a very pleasant hour in the company of SNG this lunchtime, as the loco was rolled out for members of the SNGLT at LSL Crewe. This is one shot of many which I will get around to posting on my website in due course.

Massive thanks to the SNGLT and LSL people who made today possible. The whole event was very well organised and manned by friendly and welcoming people. Top marks all round!

It was ok actually. Just a few spots of rain on and off. Lucky! That's some operation LSL have there, totally blew me away!

I love the wartime black! An absolutely brilliant image. Can you post a link to your website?
