I don't like how Hosking made his money.
"Marathon Asset Management accused Hosking of breaching contractual and fiduciary duties while working there because he discussed plans for a new business with other employees. In 2015, Hosking was ordered to pay £1.38 million in damages, and a further £10.4 million - half of the profits Hosking received for the period between July and December 2012.".

I’m just rather pleased about the way he decided to spend some of his money

For different reasons, of course .... any music lover might suggest the same could be said of Mr.Waterman's (rather well employed) assets! ;)

Yes but 6435 is a lot smaller than L92 lol, 64xx GWR rated power classification A whereas 57xx class C.

There were 800 plus Black 5’s, 500 odd Class 47’s and 300 odd Class 37’s and they’re all a little bit different! ;)

This ought to take you from there to "And your two minutes on lots of weird little green engines that look nearly identical starts .... now".

This site has evidently been comprehensively breathed upon since my last visit. Looks very nice .... serious congratulations are in order:

If you'll excuse me, I'm off to peruse the revamped 4-4-0 page! :)

It is a good'un. I first came across it a few years back, when trying to hide my ignorance and avoid asking 'what's a Kruger?'. It was good then, but whoever was responsible for the site's redesign has every reason to be very proud of the job they've done. The appearance, none too shabby before, is completely worthy of the content.

Not me. I'm just one of a number of people who've provided a bit of content.
I'm not sure the gentlemen responsible are on NP.

Are only 5239 and 75014 operational at the moment?

I’m not sure how much use it has seen, but I have seen 2253 in steam recently, also 4277, which has been outshopped in black, with totem and red backed number plates.

Okay, wasn't sure if the S160 was out of action. Assuming 4277 is making a come back then over the next few weeks. Thanks for the update.

Does anyone involved with the DSR know if intermediate stops will be reintroduced any time soon? Watched a video of a train going non-stop through Churston and I note the website only mentions an end to end journey.

    Thanks.

And is it still pre-booked journeys both ways, and allocated seating?

I travelled on the line in May, turned up on the day and bought tickets at Paignton. They were allocated to specific trains and seats, but on this occasion there was plenty of space to sit wherever you wanted.
