Well that's it then. No need for an OTMR download when you have the Nat Pres judge and jury on hand to pass sentence:(. Just as well that they leave train driving to those who know how the railway works and not to the lineside experts who clearly don't:).

According to the poster of the video, he was stood next to Ray Churchill and that was his opinion, which he has shared in his video.

Ray's opinion or the posters interpretation of what he thinks is Ray's opinion? Either way I'm sure that Ray would not want speculation of overspeeding to be attributed to him on social media. Steam operation on the network is difficult enough as it is without unfounded accusations of rule breaking on the internet.

Same story here at Stafford Station. Scanned RTT to no avail, and was also checking Open Train Times map when at the last minute spotted a strange reporting number approaching the station. Too late to set up, and what with the wind, the rain and a host of other spectators, all I managed was 15 seconds of useless footage.

...especially as it's hard to see any evidence, how was it enforced? Differential speed limit, speed looked fine anyway and I can't see any TPWS grids in that immediate vicinity either.

If we at Nat Pres are to act as judge and jury, might I suggest that perhaps a glitch in the electronics could be a possible cause of what does appear to be an unsolicited brake application?

No TPWS grids involved with a TSR. There is an AWS magnet in position before each TSR warning indicator, so again that could suggest a multitude of reasons as to why a brake application may have been given due to it.

The professionals will look at the OTMR and come to a conclusion.

Today's loaded test run at Rednal and Wrockwardine. Some late running coincided with sunny spells among some very heavy showers.

That first shot (by the Montgomery Canal?) is a cracker. Well done for hiding the more modern coaches without upsetting the balance of either picture.

Dinner consumed, a couple more photos from today............

A grab shot after sheltering in the car from the wicked Storm Dudley, 70000 approaching Walcot; the torrential rain has cleared enough to see the Breiddens on the horizon.....

Great pictures of Britannia's home run, thanks to all.
I especially liked ragl/ Alan's shot across the valley at Hatton, north of Millmeece on the Stafford- Crewe line. Plentiful main line traffic, but hard get a distinctive picture. The magnificent waterworks are a characteristic of the area, and the shot is a classic!
