Passing Helwith Bridge - the new microphone and dead cat couldn't cope with the wind so the sound is terrible:

    Back to the drawing board.

Is the 47 staying on the rear or tucking in behind the Duchess?

Good start out of Carlisle, 38 mph at Cumwhinton, then looks caught up the service train.

From Appleby re-start up to 57 mph over Ormside viaduct, minm 44 before Crosby Garrett, 53 max after. Thro Kirkby Stephen in 16m 08s at 35 mph. Then struggled, down to 26 before Mallerstang, recovered to 35, then 24 minm before Ais Gill. Over the summit at 28.

Yes I am an active volunteer
I'm sensing that 6233 was left to its own devices over the S&C and look forward to hearing from those on train . Crewe back to Tys with 6233 at the head is a bonus although presumably that was assisted t get everyone home
