    Anyone who complains about diesels replacing/assisting steam engines need to see this.
    Ditto anyone saying climate change isn't a thing/is too expensive to deal with.

    If you burn stuff beyond your fence, you will risk liability, as the world gets warmer it gets (in lots of places) drier and it burns better.

    Add in a whole bunch of other factors (I'm betting there are less lumberjacks/forrest rangers/rail employees etc to spot it before it gets going, coal quality and loco-handling may not be as good as they were).

    And they got unlucky. That's why we have risk assesments and stuff.
