Amazing how that rebuild has transformed its efficiency! fancy being able to pull that shunter along and not a sign of smoke or steam!!

You must stop posting these shots...I'm having trouble controlling my bladder..seriously looking fantastic, getting nearer the great day..Well done the team...

What's the firebox sat in the wagon on that feed?

 

That will be the spare for 600 Gordon. Whether it is useable will be subject to inspection, when the time comes.

 

60007 just arrived back from Highley. Support coach delivered this morning and sitting in the platform at Bridgnorth.

 

Back at Bridgnorth, after first run, looks like support coach is in the platform with her.

 

Off for another run, assume to Highley again.

 

Frustratingly the camera was pointing North as she came into Bridgnorth, then almost as soon as she was in the platform swung back south again. I can understand getting bowled by a passing express when you're lineside but it seems a bit unfair for it to happen when you're watching remotely.

 

Back on shed after a successful first day running in:

 

The long awaited return is over !

 

No.."what's that knocking sound"...or "where's that water drip coming from"...well done all concerned, all the hard work coming to fruition...

 

From clips I have seen on YouTube the whistle got stuck on a couple of times going down Eardington bank but was soon sorted out.

It is excellent to see Gresley in action once again after all this time. Well done to all involved. She looks superb in black. A nice excuse to post a link to this very appropriate song
