Agree with you Matt. I like that livery:)
Interesting isn`t it how much different colour can make a locomotive more attractive (or less)

Absolutely agree with you John. That`s a very fine livery for a diesel locomotive. A very nice picture, and even with snow.:)

As do others, I was pleased with the photo from 60017, but where was 34G please? My Summer 1959 and Winter 1961 books only list up to 34F (Grantham).

You’d get on well with my Dad John, everything must be BR Loco Green, none of this Large Logo, Railfreight Red Stripe or Triple Grey Subsector rubbish (as he calls it!) I think the only time he liked a modern livery was a few years ago was when 47807/17 were painted Porterbrook Purple and Grey, and even then he only liked the grey end from the front because ‘They look a bit like Lion’ :)

Absolutely, prefer BR liveries (pre-blue) on everything! @Victor is a Porterbrook purple man...especially on Deltics!

Is he still involved with the DEPG? I also read that it’s his decision regarding each loco’s livery.
Must admit I do rather like this latest one.

D1501, a 34G regular. Wouldn't mind £1 for each time I saw her in my younger spotting days. A good livery too.
