    FAO Shareholders

On behalf of the SVR, Durnin Research have opened their survey to gain the views on shareholders on the railway. This can be found via this link: Severn Valley Railway Shareholder Review Survey (surveymonkey.co.uk)

"In this review, we are seeking for evidence from you, the Severn Valley Railway shareholding community, of how you engage with the Railway and what value you place on your Shareholder entitlements, now and in the future. This review is being carried out as part of planning for the sustainable future of the Railway.

It is really important that you engage with this survey if you want your views to be included in the Review.
    • You will be able to engage in the first instance by participating in this online survey.
    • Two workshop sessions will be convened in May, to which a sample of Shareholders who have participated in the survey will be invited.
    • Finally, the key findings from the research will be presented at the AGM on 11th June 2022.

The deadline to complete the survey is Saturday 14th May 2022."

Can anyone advise if Shareholders can utilise their travel benefits at the forthcoming Diesel gala please? Many thanks.

The question was asked of the SSG and it came back yes, I'd be very surprised if this is different.

Thanks Patrick, I have since found a page on the SVR ticket site that backs this up.

Interesting to read that the Barry Railway carriage at Hampton Loade is leaving the railway. I wonder where it is going to?

It's restoration is so near yet so far, having stalled in recent years. Outdoor renovation of a vehicle is far from ideal. Furthermore, it would be of little use for a railway that relies on corridor stock for short platforms.

Haven't seen much mention of its imminent departure here unless I'm completely blind. My mind has two serious names of where it could end up and maybe another two or three that you can stretch the logic to the edge of the realm of possibility.

No 70 Elizabeth II debut run. I would usually say I hope you enjoy, though that would be presumptuous !

Do you know a thought occurred to me. 34027 must of had the most variation in liveries carried now of any rebuilt Bulleid Pacific.

The return run was somewhat marred by stalling on Highley bank and having to set back past the station for a second attempt. Obviously the wrong sort of dry sunny weather...:(
