The other engine in steam on Sunday was the 0-8-0 Polish Tank, which I had a couple of rides behind.
Looks like the Danish 0-6-0 is progressing nicely in the workshop.

A short video of the Nene Valley Railway in 1995 when it was celebrating 150 years of railways in Peterborough:

It features 35005 CANADIAN PACIFIC with a shot of 45596 BAHAMAS at the end. Further videos from this event to follow...

Just heard from my parents who were on a very truncated round trip that 92 squadron is setting fire to things today.

Was that why it was taken off the train at Wansford after returning from Yarwell Junction then? I was watching it via Railcam - this was about the time of your post.

As a result of a line side fire, the NVR has instigated a steam ban with immediate effect.

C’est la vie. Have the delights of the Swedish railcar instead.

The launch into traffic of the Swedish trailer car is quite significant for being one of the first major railcar restoration projects to launch since Covid hit.

It's a bit of a flag bearer for the idea that the railcar movement is now recovering and slowly retuning to the restoration activity essential to long term sustainability.

A credit to its owners and of course unique in the UK!
