46115 makes a superb sight passing Oakenshaw Jct (approx. 1 mile south of Wakefield Kirkgate) before joining the electrified GN mainline at Hare Park to continue its journey from Carnforth via Doncaster and Peterborough to Ely.

It would appear that I was the only one who didn't know about this trip, do we have any times for the return?

Appears a bit disappointing that all those in the know (and happy to show their pics on here) weren't prepared to share the ecs timings with others (or were they on other sites?).

An excellent bit of LMS missionary work to the flatlands today

I would like to see some of the shots on the embankments between Peterborough and March - I would imagine the light was very effective.

Timings worked all round - especially at Shipley with a 10.31 arrival and a 10.39 departure bracketing 6115's passage perfectly. Was it 5944 I spoke to on the platform end?

Just a shame a 185 broke down between York and Leeds later and I arrived back at Staleyvegas about 75 down with the towels on.

Meetings bloody meetings tomorrow and then see what time I can spare on Sunday

    Mike,

Rather than sour grapes and criticising those who did venture out for 46115 I think you should consider why there were no timings shown on UK Steam or indeed on NP? Presumably as a an ecs move for a private charter WCRC felt it within their right to withold any unnecessary publicity?

Obviously they have every right to but I'm curious to know the reason why, it's not like it's going to create "Tornado" size crowds!

Melton Mowbray seems a strange destination for a railtour today.

Is there a special event going on?

Seems there might be a certain bit of censorship goes on involving certain WCRC stuff, quite a few timea a pic of something of theirs has has appeared, only to mysteriously disappear a few hours later....

Like others i don't see the need for some of it, but WCRC has form on gen or pics going missing.
