As mentioned elsewhere I had a do on the new trams yesterday, decent bits of kit. I got talking to a fella from The Fleetwood Tram Preservation Society, Colin ???????? membership secretary, he was assessing the tram that is on static display down at the pleasure beach terminal. For some reason his society have got to get it moved, I think the plan is to take it to some premises at Kirkham Prison. He said that the thing is still in running order

The heritage tram service has really been cut back this year, running only at Easter and Bank holidays.
A bit of good news though...they will be running through to Fleetwood Ferry.
    More details here.

Glad you enjoyed the new trams Victor. Apparently, after the first year of operation they have exceeded all expectations in terms of reliability and income generation. There's even talk of a 24 hour service now. I use them quite often and the only bad words seem to come from those who didn't want the system modernised.

They must be paying to be able to support a crew of 3 (1 driver, 2 conductors) in the winter months.

Good to see 'boat car 227' out and about today and full of passengers. The 'Heritage Operation' seems to fit in well with the normal service timetable and is, IMO very good value on current pricing.
