    Hi

I'm hoping to hear from one or a small number of people interested in helping restore a Grounded Vent Van body.

It looks to be LNER or early BR design, and it was moved to my property on Friday.
I live near Usk, Monmouthshire - and for anyone local, it's an opportunity to have fun restoring a wagon without the long travel to a Heritage railway line!

My plan is to recreate a reasonably accurate original condition wagon - with suitable paintwork. Albeit with a secure door hidden behind the sliding one. I'm fairly good at woodwork and painting. I've no experience of metalwork and definitely angle grinders and welding are both an unknown science.

Hence, would anyone be interested in helping me bring this wagon back to it's former condition?

    Tim

    LMS D1808 (unsure of date) / D1812 (1930-31) / D1830 (1932-33). Some survived in service into the 60s.
