Steam in the North East

Fabulous! Could be 1964 at first glance.

 

One of my favourites is off Raven B16 61464,that I photo'd on 51B Stockton. 04/08/1957 It was then a Thompson rebuild,class B16/3.
A few years later I had a run behind one on a Filey Holiday Camp to Derby train,It primed its way up the bank out of Filey. There was engine change at Gascoigne Wood Sidings,9F from there to Barrow Hill ,the 9F must have been declared a failuer as we changed engine again.4F from there to Derby. .

 

And a few hours later with the tide in and the K1 leading, rather than the B1. Weather hadn't improved!
