Thanks for the update 76079... Yeah I can understand that being very very low priority.

Good luck to all those involved with the next phase.... fingers crosses things go well

Your idea of broken and mine must be different then because trundling up a line at 20 would kinda suggest it runs!

Indeed, a big congratulations to the crewe lads getting her sorted out. After her stint at the WSR, it'll be interesting to see how much work is then required to get her on the mainline, and how reliable she ends up being - fingers crossed, for Bressingham's sake, she turns out allright.

Really pleased to hear she's made a good 20 mile run even if it is light engine, well done to everyone involved - an amazing effort given all I have read here. Fingers crossed the loaded test run is a success [-o<

Tis a joke, hence the *runs for cover* ](*,)

That said could be accurate according to Bongo mind.

Personally, I think I'll reserve judgement until it's been out on the big railway a few times.

Looks rather nice though! Hopefully it should pull a few more punters in.

What a difference seeing this very famous engine(6100) trundling through the English countryside all by itself, yet millions are hanging off bridges, stations, signals, low flying aircraft to get a glimpse of Tornado.

Wonderful to see the Royal back on it's feet, sorry, wheels, may it reign supreme.

Re: 6100 Royal Scot test runs

Great news. Early days yet, though. I'm sure her minders will break her in gently. What's the plan now? Perhaps a few light engine runs this week followed by a bit of double-heading with 45231 over the weekend? Should make a fine sight.

As others have mentioned, she does look rather bright red on video. More fire-engine than crimson lake. I assume the shade is darker "in the metal".

I see from UKSteam that RTC are proposing to run 6100 on a Liverpool - Scarborough trip on 4th July, with 6201 as the alternative.

Tell you what I'd like to see one day: 6100 and 850 together. Maybe the MHR should invite 6100 to one of next year's galas? Or pehaps WSR would invite them both?

Re: 6100 Royal Scot test runs

I believe the intention was to go for a loaded test run today (not sure if this is still the case). Then make a decision about whats going to happen this weekend depending on the results.

I didnt heare any news last night so i can only assume no news is good news.

Nope, she really is that bright, although it is a much pinker shade than "fire engine".
