Not a lot of effort or sound from the front on Llanvihangel early this afternoon. Couple of shots of the Brit in the Welsh Countryside. 'Wisp' of smoke..hint of sunshine.

The waving from the train in my pictures was to the local primary school who turned out to watch!

Cresting Llanvihangel Summit in the evening sunshine. Plenty of steam to spare for a long blast on the whistle as it wasn't being used in anger through the cylinders. Someone ought to tell them there's something noisy on fire on the back of the train...

It seems solid fuel was being conserved at the expense of liquid through Craven Arms, it being the first charter I've seen in this location that's approached silently with zero exhaust and came past us with just the blower gently cracked. It was only once it was a bit further onto the bank after having passed us by that suddenly there was any sound from the front.

The evening sun was a pleasant surprise, but the sting-in-the-tail crosswind was most unhelpful..............

    Heading north at Bushmoor...........

Guessing Wednesday's William Shakespeare will be 46100 (show pony or otherwise) with 70000 & 34046 still at WSR and 45231 at Southall.

Will most likely be sharing the workload with their 47, unless ground conditions have changed since Sunday on the Shakespeare, which I don't think it has as its in my neck of the woods.

Reported cable theft in the Tyseley area. No trains going further than Dorridge. Not sure what they'll do with 46100
