    At the EMF AGM last Saturday, it was suggested that 7812 wouldn't be ready in time for the gala. They had been working towards it, but time was just a bit too tight. Probably back from Tyseley in October, and certainly available for Christmas as I understood it.

    Well, old FaceAche says that the tickets will be on sale from tomorrow, so hopefully some news on what is and isn't running and [all parts crossed] the all important visitors! :eek:

    A Facebook post has confirmed there won't be any overnight running this year to conserve coal. There will however be late evening trains at least. Understandable and perhaps not unexpected.

    I’m not sure why they couldn’t confirm that yesterday when they released the tickets for sale, it’s not like the decision was made overnight. Certainly would have saved a lot of people asking that question in the first place.
