Now have opportunity to relive journeys from 50 years ago behind a Type 4 Brush diesel.

Slightly hacked off, but praying for rain on another Sunday.

Diesel at Snow Hill. Reminded me of locomotive changes at Wolverhampton c. 45 years ago.

Sounds like NR have really been messing around with VT here. Do sympathise with them and their staff, as well as the passengers.

Wednesdays William Shakespeare with 46100 was (apparently) not supposed to be steam hauled (which travelled on the same route from Small Heath), thus the return journey was diesel hauled with 46100 at the rear. To have NR announce the next day that 7029 could go solo was a surprise. So then someone else at the 11th hour (Clun had apparently had her FTR exam done and passed yesterday) decides against that decision?

We may not have agreed with NR's bans in the past but they appeared to be understandable. This year it just seems incomprehensible. Except up north there has been virtually no rain, so surely things are only ever getting more risky. Yet the DCE and WSE had to be full diesel then we go back to something different again.

sadly an occasion where maybe with the best of intentions NR haven't covered themselves with glory . 46100 on Wednesday , then to say 7029 could go solo only to rescind it at the 11th hour . Good friend I think lost his first main line driving turn .

With this weeks heat wave I’m sure it comes as no shock that this weeks Shakespeare will be headed by the residing 20’s - 20142 and 20189

Indeed it was, with the 47 on the rear. Whoever is running the VT social sites needs sacking as they weren't updated.

I was at Tyseley yesterday and was told it would be the 20's so they must of changed their mind later on or got their information mixed up.

Somebody needs to lose a job because they haven’t quite updated stuff in time to placate someone like yourself?
It’s not the end of the world is it?
As someone who’s had to cover for someone who was off sick this week just stop and think about what you’ve said, it’s a little out of order.

Someone must have got their wires crossed as Clun would have been in steam yesterday ready for the FTR.

Matt, its a bit of an irrelevant private joke which I have made public, as I personally know the kind individual who is responsible for updating all VT social sites. Maybe I should of added a smiley.
