As Paul clarified above, there should be 2 guests, 73156 is the first guest with the 2nd being finalised.

It is worth mentioning that the Bluebell themselves, have not yet made any official announcements about Giants of Steam as yet.

The GoS webpage on the website confirms the attendance of 73156 as does the locomotive's owning group on their Flickr page 2022 Half Year report extract | EPSON MFP image | STANDARD FIVE GROUP | Flickr

In other news the amended service using D4106 extends into tomorrow as well and the timetable for the Beer Festival is also live with three service trains in operation Microsoft Word - 2022 TT -WTTs Beer Festival Timetable-12:08:22.docx (bluebell-railway.com)

Good to see a three train for the beer festival this year, after the one train service last year.

I do apologise, hot weather and brain in gear don't mix [well, for me anyway :(].

Hope it works well for them and I did hear on the news at lunchtime Brighton had been one of the wettest areas today.
I am surprised personally, but luckily not my call.

We had a few hours steady rain, occasionally heavier. Not so much that a bit more wouldn't be welcome. Up in the Weald, Sharpthorne Tunnel has an 'interesting' fire suppressant system!

Was a nice couple of down pours where I work, which is close to Rock Cutting just beyond the Sloop and Tremaine's bridges.

Tom has already mentioned it in the Atlantic thread, but Fenchurch has had it's boiler placed back in the frames and from the pictures on the website, looks like the livery details are coming along nicely on a number of parts as well.

It's good to see steam services returning to the Bluebell but what has happened to 33052 Ashford - is this loco not ready for action as they had to rely on their Class 09 shunter recently

Still being worked on - I put updates in Bluebell News and The Bluebell Times when I get them, but there is a lot to do on it - I don’t think 2022 was ever a realistic date.

I’m not really much of a judge of diesels, but my basic understanding is that while mechanically it was in good order, the bodywork was shot. Considerable portions of it are being replaced.

BRCW machine’s are rather notorious for body rot.

Similar commentary was made over on WNXX. And being a BRCW there are some built in water traps/ flood plains around the cabs that have also wrecked Rats bodywork too.

Fibreglass roof panels and steel sides isn't a good combination. Look how long it took 33012 to be done up at Eastleigh, and that's a proper works with all the equipment and expertise.
