Bit disappointed to see that 828 isn't running on the Friday or Monday. I'm presuming cost/staffing issues?
Can't do the Saturday so might have to fight the Sunday train service if I want to catch her before she heads back up north!

Also, I note the Thumper is only out Saturday evening (though obviously that's less of a novelty being a resident).

 

I believe 75069 is facing Eridge but which way is City of Wells facing?

Well, if all goes well with 257 Squadron, this image might be repeated again.

 

SKP leaves to return to Swanage (via Dorset Steam Fair) so won't be around when Squadron arrives (that I'm aware of at least.)

Also, for those who haven't seen it on the Spa Valley Thread, a locomotive parade takes place on Sunday, departing TWW at 18:00 and running the full length of line.

828 was not on its first train this morning, Class 25 running instead.

 

Heard its apparently got a hotbox. Don't know the severity of the problem but if anyone does is it easily fixable? Or is 828 potentially canned from the event?

 

A quick couple from the phone/video still taken today. Very challenging as the cloud came over a lot early in the day. As ever, a good show being put on - tomorrow's cavalcade will be the icing no doubt.

 

Spa Valley post on Facebook suggests that the 25 is still replacing 828 today.

Shame as this weekend was probably my only chance to ride behind her while she's down south, but that's the nature of our hobby I guess!

Should still be a great day and I'm looking forward to the cavalcade later.
