Apparently, they are forecasting sunshine and showers (Worcester direction) from the 2nd to 10th September.

Also showers from the 2nd to 8th September (Bridgnorth direction).

I hope that'll be enough to run the autumn gala, I cannot wait!

RMT now also striking on Thurs 15th, but also Sat 17th.
With disruption like to spill over into the 16th/18th as well and an engineering closure between Leamington Spa and Banbury on the 18th, trying to get there by public transport is going to be 'fun'!

I think you're confusing 'days off' with 'day without pay, defending their terms and conditions'.

Exactly. I'm not losing 45 hours of pay in a couple of months out of choice.

Solidarity. As a driver, it scares me to imagine that I may be driving at 100mph on routes that will see their scheduled maintenance programmes cut in half, and any maintenance and fault rectification performed is done so by a reduced and more thinly stretched workforce.

People who are caught up in their own individual disruptions, caused by the strike, also seem unwilling to admit that by condemning the Union action is a vote for a less safe railway going forward.

I do hope you find a way of getting there, but my main sympathies are with the railway staff.

Several days now with proper sustained periods of heavy rain - unless we have another heatwave and no subsequent rain I reckon we'll be fine for the gala :)

I am grateful the TT with loco allocations is available, but does it have to be in such small print that it's difficult to read?
What happened to one day per page?

Hope everyone Who is going has a good time, I had to get a refund on rover ticket and dining ticket due to not being able to get because of rail strikes, as I am wholly dependable on the railways to get there from Yorkshire

Strikes are off due to the death of Queen Elizabeth. No idea is that will also impact the gala but could mean you (and I!) can now make it.

I see SVR have started referring 70 as 34027 again in there roster/timetable pages on there website, has it had the Elizabeth II plates removed?
What will it look like for the gala later this week

Tickets bought, accommodation sorted, weather looks OK. Can anyone complete my 'set' and advise which way the locos are facing please? Thanks.

    Currently:
    1501 facing Kidderminster
    70/34027 facing Bridgnorth
    43106 facing Kidderminster
    75069 facing Bridgnorth
7714 depends what way its unloaded from its visit to Pontypool and Blaenavon.
Jessie I would ASSUME its facing Bridgnorth.
9351 based on the fact 7325 is on display I expect it to also face Bridgnorth.
    45231: N/A - arrives Wednesday

The guests and 7714 are yet tbc. Can't speak for the SVR but the above seems likely
