No guarantee anything will run as it is there block path to use as and when they need it

 

Agreed but they normally show as 'WTT', these are amended to 'VAR' which suggests intent.

That's at Barrow Hill and is months off completion I understand. More likely a 37 or 47.

 

Well nothing came of these today, though one rtn trip to/from Chester on 3rd now set to VAR.

Steam over Corrour.

Yesterday's ecs Fort William to Carnforth worked over Corrour by 44871 - a rare afternoon steam path over this route. No other photters around. Preceding service train was running 20 mins late which meant a hectic dash across the moor and bogs to get near 'Hell's Corner'.

A privilege to see.
