Looking forward to this event! Having looked at the timetable, there seems to be a couple timing errors?

Saturday - 1540 from Bury arrives at Ramsbottom at 1555, 5 minutes after the 1550 departure towards Bury!

Sunday - 1745 from Rawtenstall arrives at Ramsbottom at 1759, 9 minutes after the same train is supposed to depart to Bury!

Haven't spotted any others. I assume they are typos. Any way of letting someone know?

 

Final blow-out Sunday looks "interesting" with all four L&Y Loco's on the same train, plenty of excess power to add a dead 51218 to the lash up!

 

That will be a good photo opportunity, pity its not doing the whole line. Looks like a trip to Burrs then

I went over to the ELR today for the first day of the Autumn steam gala

Featuring 3 working and 1 static L&YR locos in preservation (the other I will see tomorrow as it was not out today) and the last gala appearance of 34092 City of Wells before it has its 10 year overhaul, also sentinel ‘Ann’ was doing a bit of shunting in Bury transport museum yard, and 60009 Union of South Africa inside the museum
