Sadly, ignorance is not always bliss, and we cannot wish away inconvenient realities.

I do wonder why someone who "doesn't want to know" spends so much time being offended by debate? Oh well.

 

Not wanting to know sounds to me like being too overwhelmed by the events to know how to deal with them. Perhaps in the face of genuine fear/anxiety about what's happening, it's easier to pretend it's not something you need to deal with?

 

Understandable, when so much reporting does nothing beyond reinforcing such views.
