34067 is the only engine that could do the Arrow. As I understand it, it will not be going to the Lane. If it was there would be no point in going to Southall first, the working you have seen may be a diesel to pick up the ECS.

My mistake, not the lane, but Battersea Loop:
    https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U66295/2022-11-12/detailed

Returns to Southall straight after the tour as well.

Meanwhile, as of this evening Belmond's website still says it's Clan Line. For such a posh organisation that's surprisingly sloppy.

It is, and it also says on all the steam hauled Belmonds that Clan Line is still hauling it.

Well if you can't have Clan Line for the anniversary trip (albeit over a month late) then a Light Pacific is the next best thing.

Can imagine that West Coast would like a few shots of one of their locos on something that prestigious, and why not?

This strikes me as odd. If it's coming down to cover 35028's duties, why keep on moving it to / from Southall? Unless its a capacity issue at the lane, or are they using it for other duties while its down here?

Steam dreams can't use it because they run with LSL now, so if 34067 did anything it would be RTC trips. Is Tangmere the 'Black 5' RTC keep talking about in some of their trips?

I’m sure that they would be very welcome at the Lane and no, there are no capacity issues as far as I know. I assume that West Coast prefer to work out of their own depot where they have maintenance staff, water and coal supplies.

Not for the first time either. Many organisations are very poor at updating their web sites, and it seems not to matter how prestigious they are.

Or they have customers who don't throw their toys out of the pram if the advertised loco doesn't turn up?

Actually what they should get is a flat top that will look just like the original MNs . And let's face it. If Tangmete carries the full regalia then the arrows on the side plating will look just the ticket.

Tangmere has carried the full golden arrow regalia before, i'm assuming she still has the mounting brackets on the casing? If She is staying down south to cover 35028's remaining duties, i wonder if we might just see a flat top down here in Hastings on the RTC Sussex belle, its been quite a few years since Tangmere visited Sussex.

My photographic records records show Tangmere hauled a number of VSOE trips in 2004, 2005 & 2006. Of course not a full WCRC loco at the time.

Tangmere regularly carried the Golden Arrow regalia when working The Golden Arrow Statesman.
One example filmed at Wye, Dover and Hildenborough:

For anyone going to see tomorrows train it might be worth checking to see what actually heads south from Carnforth today

34067 also carried the regalia on this private charter in April 2008 (at Weybridge). 4647295662_97d08bcaae_o.jpg
