The NRM should be ashamed of itself D1023 Western Fusilier has been dumped outside now for over 4 months

Has the Q1 lost its tender somewhere? Or is it just the photo angle that looks a bit odd?
Even the NRM doesn't have unlimited undercover storage… presumably it's in the queue for some sort of treatment and it's stored where it's stored for a reason.

'Ashamed' seems an odd word as it implies a conscious decision to let something rot, where I suspect the reality is somewhat different.

Yes I am an active volunteer
Not surprisingly on Facebook where Neil has posted the same comment on D1023 I would suggest most commenting do not support his view

No I do not currently volunteer
Particularly where, judging by the pictures in that gallery, modern traction is very prominently and well displayed within the Great Hall.

IMG_0099 copy.jpg Alas this area (seen in June 2021) in The Great Hall where large diesels were displayed is no longer available, hence D1023 is outside and that massive bulk that is D200 is on the turntable where it dominates the turntable area display because there is nowhere else for them. Meanwhile the Q1 has been positioned where it is without its tender so that some "conservation" work can be carried out on it. At the risk of stating the obvious, what a pity there isn't a workshop to do this work in these days:(.
