Not a lot to see but there seems to be a group on Facebook who have cleared some of the remains in the last couple of years.

    Remains of a platform.....

There is quite a good video here that covers city station and the other stations in Norwich. The station was very badly bombed in ww2 and after the war seemed to just have some portacabin type buildings put there and was never properly rebuilt. It was also a long walk from the centre of Norwich.

They didn't, as far as I know - that's a preservation image, same as the ones of 90775 and 5619.

The tender first black and white image of the 9F superimposed on a current view is one of the pictures featured on the display board adjacent to the section of platform that has been unearthed at the station.
Rather memorably, it describes it as being of a "diesel train", so obviously someone got confused by the back end of the tender........!

To be honest though, it was not much further to walk than the current Norwich station. The most central of the Norwich Stations was Victoria, which was closed in 1916. Now right opposite the old site is the main Norwich Bus Station.

Norwich isn't a big city. It's a 10-15 minute walk into the City centre from the remaining station (Norwich Thorpe) and would have been perhaps 15-20 tops from City station. Victoria was most central but was only small and couldn't receive trains from the Ely/Cambridge/Peterborough line, or Yarmouth/Lowestoft/Cromer. It's booking hall was a rotunda building repurposed from the circus of a pleasure garden (in the style of Vauxhall/Ranelagh gardens), a real shame that didn't survive. I still think tram trains from The hospital via the university and then the city centre and out to Yarmouth and onweard to the sea front would be a gamechanger
