Screw the passengers; why can't it be in Plymouth at a time I can nip out of the office, rather than the middle of the afternoon...

It is the passengers who pay their money to travel on these charter trains that count, people who just want to go and see it and photograph it and complain about the timings are just cringers, it is bums on seats that keep these trains running not sightseerers. [-X

Oh dear...perhaps you didn't detect the tongue in cheek nature of that post!!

As it is I think it's outrageous that it's leaving Plymouth at 1640 and not at a time more convenient for me to photograph it as it leaves....ie about 1702ish. I also think that they should then hold it in Mutley Tunnel or Laira long enough for me to bike it over to Hemerdon do get another free snap of it there. After that it can do what it likes!!! \:D/

Unfortunately there are some on this forum who would say that in all seriousness.

Maybe we need a codeword for when we're being tongue in cheek, any suggestions?

If 5029 isnt available for this tour, any ideas what will happen??

I take it that different stock will be used, so does this mean that D1015 will be 'inboard' somewhere for this as its taking the tour down??

Shouldn't there be a warning on the Log In page that a sense of humour/irony is required?
After all it took me weeks before I realised I shouldn't take every thing I read on this Forum seriously.
And who do I complain to that this tour isn't passing the bottom of my garden?
The fact that I live about a mile from the railway doesn't matter, it's just not fair to those of us that don't live next door to the railway.

You know the answer - sell up and buy a house with a railway at the bottom of the garden.

Then you can complain about the noise, the fumes, the vibration etc, etc

  14. Isn't this all gwetting just a tad silly! [-X

Agreed, FC - lets move on!

A little birdie tells me that Tangmere is to replace Nunney Castle, and to join Oliver Cromwell at Par, this Tuesday. Shan't be able to see all of this, as having just got back from a two week holiday in Canada, I can't really ask for more leave this week - but the Brittania should make a fine sight passing Camborne during my lunch break!

  16. Hopefully [-o< Ollie will be on the front?

We too will be limited a little as Mr FC doesn't get away from work until lunchtime, but we plan to get down as far as we can and then chase back.

After a mixed day in Devon i received a call on the way home from a reliable source to say Tangmere

was going down to join Cromwell and both bring the train back tomorrow. Also Tangmere is likely to do

the Brisol to Preston as Lizzy is not available. Can anyone confirm this as correct?

PS. Although i'm not a diesel fan D1015 & 70013 did sound good over the Tamar bridge although D1015

    was doing all the work.

It appears that Tangmere is going to do the Bristol - Preston leg.
