    I love a Deltic, but the fact they only lasted 20 ish years tells a bit of a story. The 444/450s around me are the same age and are barely run-in…

    Hornby. But there are those on 19th Century Railways Facebook group that are exercised that the Hornby model is essentially "as preserved" but is being passed off to be "as built", with false haycock firebox, wrong length boiler barrel and packaged with 1930s replica Liverpool and Manchester carriages that bear little resemblance to genuine carriages of that era ...
