I’m sure they will, but it’s the most realistic recreation that can be done….

Some carriage news, RU 1949 has arrived after purchase from the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway and via Cranmore Traincare for some work to the body. We intended to repair the ends ourselves before the coach returns to traffic.

also shown are some new GWR replica luggage rack brackets for GWR 216, just collected.

    regards

    Matt

Looking good, how many passenger carrying mark 1s does the railway have now matt 6? Would love to see them all in maroon, but understand the branding reasons for the dining set.

BSK 35012 and SK 24825 are OOU at present, the rest operational. Yes 81486 is a Kitchen Car.

    Thanks for the info!

Is there much to do to bring back the bsk and sk? For years that bsk was the backbone of the carraige the fleet.

Very smart. Is this paint job to allow it to continue as a hauled coach whilst the powercars remain out of use?

I also think it's quite a valuable vehicle as it has quite a high seating density!

If it is still in as-withdrawn configuration, I make it 70 seats which isn't bad for a 57ft vehicle.

At Abergwili Junction, the head shunt has now been laid and general tidy up and spear fencing work ongoing. All hands to the pump to get the final jobs done before the site opens on Good Friday.

    regards

A good St David’s Day in West Wales as we briefly had two pannier tanks on site…can’t have too much of a good thing now…

Sorry to see 1369 leave as she has been an excellent loco, but very much looking forward to seeing 6430 in action.

    regards

    Matt
