Any news on this? Waited at Tilehurst from 13:40 till 14:50, (Didcot 13:36, Reading 14:07).
No show. It was either very early (possible by recent events), or at least 60 late, or rescheduled.
    Worst scenario, failed.

That would make it around 30 early so possibly just missed it at Tilehurst, also might explain the lack of "regulars" waiting.

She didn't wait long at Wantage Road (was booked to stand there 15 mins or so), by the time I drove over the bridge there trying to get in front of her again at Steventon I could see her about half a mile down the main towards Didcot

Best allow a lot of time when going to see light engine movements guys as these can run fairly early or late, effectively go as soon as the crews ready and the lines clear than wait booked time.

Until you come up against a signaller/control who insist you wait for your booked time.
Had this once when working light back from Grosmont to Bury with 5407. a couple of quick water stops and several other shortened pathing stops and we were running 2 hours ahead of time. Then one guy decided we must wait for booked time....](*,) ](*,)

There are some chaps out there with a rather tiresome sense of humour. You would have thought that they'd want to get steam off the network as soon as possible. Another case of the 'jobs-worth' malaise, methinks.
