44932 moved to Southall on Monday. 44871 is at Carnforth. If RH can't even spell East Grinstead correctly, I wouldn't 100% trust what else they write. Look at the bottom of the screenshot - Ian Riley Railtours!

 

What time is it coming down? IE what time would it go through Grinstead pls?

Presumably the Bulleid coaches and RMB have returned by road to the railway or will do shortly?

Yes, they came back by road - at least two of them were back a couple of weeks ago.

From photos and posts on Facebook, the line is now all reconnected at both Vaux End and West Hoathly, with everything ballasted, tamped and tidied up.

I gather there was some concern about vehicle gauging, so suspect they could not be cleared for the Carnforth - East Grinstead - Carnforth journey in time.

 

It's on it's way now (Friday) as per the rtt link Tom posted.

 

Is filming still taking place on the railway? My Dad heard a whistle yesterday at work I think and a van with a film unit sign drove past us after we finished earlier today

 

We are also running footplate experince sessions at Sheffield Park at present. The O1 was on that today.

Thank you, but that just takes me to the same picture, with no sign of a video. Maybe one has to log in to Instagram, which I decline to do.

 

Looking at that photo of the completion I was struck by how bare the terram on the cutting walls looks, has vegetation now covered it, or does it still look a bit of a mess?

 

Buddliea had grown on both sides of the cutting so it does not look as bare.
