A Tamar class is mechanically identical to a Brazil, the boiler is the same too. So, 9" x 15" cylinders, 2'6" driving wheels, 160psi boiler pressure. According to a reprint of the 1924 Kerr, Stuart catalogue gives the weight in working order as 12tons 15cwt, with a 270 gallon capacity in the sidetanks.

Thanks for that, I think any thoughts about raising money for her, may have to go hold due to the setting up of a Trust to try to buy Adrian Shooters Darjeeling Tank on Facebook.

I have been told they don't want it. I sometimes wonder if they really know what they want, it is all well and good building big locos but you have no where to put them once built, but we still need a spare loco for Woody Bay now.

Really? Lyn, Axe and (eventually) Sir George Newnes aren't enough for the limited line as is?

@talyllyn1 was referring to the Bala Lake Railway, not the L&B

Bottom end mostly finished, new footplating and boiler fitted. Not much has been done over the last few months but work should pick up shortly again. Maybe 2024?
