Suspect it was actually one Mark 1 and one Bulleid; the Bluebell coaches returning after a film job. Two of the Bulleids returned earlier.

I wonder if they are actually going to do anything with them other than leave them outside to deteriorate, along with much else at Caphouse.

Hopefully not, but I don't know their plans in detail. No doubt funding / covered accommodation or the lack of it ...

A couple of items which were updates in the latest issue of Bluebell News:
    • Mark 1 SK 25776: "We await the removal [of this carriage] which has been sold for restoration to an operational vehicle"
    • Mark 1 SK 25769, which was last operational on the Bluebell in 2019, "is being offered for sale".
In both cases, the stated reason is "a shift in policy away from attempting to maintain two operational sets of BR Mark 1s, and instead follow the society's stated long-term aim of operating a set each of Mk 1s, Bulleids and Maunsells".

In addition, SER Drawing Room Car No. 33 (later Pullman Car "Constance") has been sold to a new owner who plans to restore the body structure and its interior as a static exhibit. (The vehicle exists as a body only, which had also been cut in half). The disposal is a recognition that with any restoration on the Bluebell would be a best a long term project, and with no obvious answer how it could be used operationally, it was better to sell the vehicle to someone else. The carriage left the railway on 25-26 February this year.

Gresley TTO 43632 is on its way back to the NYMR having been rebuilt into a fuss-free coach by a contractor based at the Ecclesbourne Valley Rly. I would imagine there will be some finishing-off jobs to do on it, but hopefully it will soon be available to add to the teak train and bring it back to all-teak this summer by displacing the Mk 1 TTO currently in set to bring it up to 5 coaches. By the end of the year Gresley LNER TTO 56856 and GNR Invalid saloon (rebuilt as an observation saloon) should also be ready to provide further variety.

.....What we used to call a saloon with disabled facilities! Fuss free access seems to be the new PC terminology.
