BR No. 11103/D2203, the sole survivor of the four original Drewry 0-6-0DM locos supplied in 1952 to work the Wisbech & Upwell Tramway and Ipswich Docks, has found a new home at Mangapps Railway. Although originally allocated to March for service at Wisbech, it only remained there for a few weeks before re-allocation to Gt. Yarmouth, to work the dock tramway, spending the remainder of it's time with BR there and at Norwich. After withdrawal in 1967 it was sold to a concrete products company at Hemel Hempstead before entering preservation in 1989 at the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Taken out of service in 2020 for attention to it's radiator, it has not worked since and it's owners have decided to put it up for sale, giving the Mangapps partners the opportunity to add this historic loco to their collection of Drewry type (Class 04 & 03) locos. It's intended to complete the radiator repairs and get the loco running as soon as possible, then to restore it to it's original condition, complete with side skirts and "cow-catchers."

I was amused by the sign it was being driven past, I wonder how many of the residents of these homes will realise what the names are from?

Well done, it is good to know that it is to be restored to its original condition and of course an early diesel pioneers future is now secure.

Isn’t there already an 04 at Mangapps in Wisbeach and Upwell guise?
I really should take up @flaman up on his offer to go and have a poke around there. It looks bloody interesting :)
