If "Cloister" has left for Amberley and the Wren is still at Statfold, is anything working on the railway at Kew these days?

I hear there is a big who-ha over PRT because their are not performing their charitable duty of allowing people to view their collection!

Yes the Wren is back at KEW and she is looking great in her Metro Water Board Green. She started Crew training on Friday and will be in service all weekend upto and includung Bank Hol Monday.

I visited Kew today (the wife's idea this time) and ammused my daughter with several superb engines turning over for her delight. We rode behind the Wren and here are a few photos. It it a very impresive loco.

Interesting that Hunslet's works plates still have "LEEDS" prominently displayed, even though they now build locos a good few miles south of their old base.

They still have offices in Leeds, although all the physical work happens at Statfold.

Another shot of the Wren on public duty...

Look out for media coverage of the loco, both on test at Statfold and running at Kew, starting soon...
