Still no real times up for tomorrow's Welsh Marches Express, but the stock has gone down today to Goodrington and 60007 is on the way to the WSR for the summer stabling.

Sir Nigel Gresley away from Bristol TM 15 late. Class 47 at rear simply ticking over passing Lawrence Hill on the start of the climb.
12 coaches today. One mk 2 second in formation, two more at the rear. All blood and custard stock apart from the final mk 2 (chocolate and cream).
Wonderful to see 60007 again in it's superb BR blue livery. <BJ>

Something has gone amiss between Cwmbran and Abergavenny. The A4 lost 20 mins between the two and the southbound 1V33 Manchester - Cardiff was delayed by an hour:: <BJ>

    UPDATE:
''A fault with the signalling system between Newport and Abergavenny means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Newport and Hereford may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.''

Apparently there was a lightning strike on a lineside box that affected the signalling between Cwmbran and Abergavenny. Came through 20 down going well approaching Abergavenny Station. At that point the Class 47 was quiet which was a bit of a surprise as the 1 in 85 starts at the north end of the platform.

Approaching Abergavenny just after 11 o'clock this morning. dead TfW unit spoils it a bit.

The A4 was really labouring at Wistanstow just after Craven Arms, must of been down to low 20's on the winding climb towards Marshbrook.

Here's my footage of 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley hauling her first railtour since she returned to steam in her BR Express Blue livery as well as my first shots of the A4 on the mainline since 2014. And all of that, on my birthday, Couldn't be happier.:D I filmed her at Filton Bank, Tram Inn, and Moreton on Lugg. I hope you enjoy the video.

I went over to Shrewsbury today to see the arrival of 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley with the Welsh Marches Express (Saphos Trains)
Running nearly an hour late due to signalling problems associated with a lightning strike yesterday, plus trespassers on the line near Shrewsbury

    North and South.
Having just passed under the Cheney Longville road bridge north of Craven Arms, and Farm Lane in All Stretton with an unexpected appearance from the sun.
The BR blue livery with the Carmine and Cream stock is a great combination.

Excellent footage! Where were you standing for the Filton Bank section -- on that footbridge near Dovercourt, perhaps?

Caught 60007 at Stokesay Castle, although not a great one for sound. It shows off the Marches perfectly

Excellent coverage proving once again that 1 shot of the train at a location is far superior to different angles all over the place!

A decent day out following the A4 in a variety of weather conditions.

Quality as ever Liam with the multiple cameras doing you proud. Similar to how PSOV have filmed for years :)
