Not sure if it has been mentioned anywhere, but just in case you are driving to Llangollen and using the A539 from Ruabon, there is a new 50MPH speed limit around Sun Bank, with a new speed camera in the middle of it.

I am planning on taking the 9.30am freight departure on the 18th. Would it be possible, on the return journey, to leave the train at Glyndyfrdwy at 10.52am?

So, while passing through Crewe on the train this morning I saw something large & crimson being loaded up on a pair of low loaders, which I expect means the Royal Scot will be in Llangollen sometime later today :)

As per previous post, will I collect my event brochure from the 6880 tent along with my tickets and will all 'park and ride' facilities be signposted on the approach to Llangollen as I don' know the area.

Thanks Lil Bear, the reason I was asking is that we are coming down as a family for the first weekend and I have offered to help out on the Saturday (not been told what I may be doing yet... 8-[ ) and my wife and kids will meet me for the Nat Pres special in the evening. As they will only be travelling from Carrog and then return with me thats why I wanted to know if they could buy a normal return ticket. We will be buying a family rover for the Sunday.

    Thanks, Neil.

Speaking of 6100 Royal Scot, has the tender been lined out? Or is it still in plain crimson lake, anyone know?

    Sun Bank Speed Restriction

Going off the road at Sun Bank really would be Deja Moo! Llangollen yard is now looking like a fantasy train set - I just hope that the event gets the mass support that it so much deserves.

On behalf of the many, thanks to all of the volunteers and staff who have made this magnificent gala possible.

I only saw the right hand side from the train, but it appeared to be fully lined out with LMS on the side when i saw her this morning from the train.

Well if the cleaner is firing a round trip it looks to be an easy day for me, eh!
Hmm! We'll have to work out a rota like every other shovelful even if she isn't a Duchess.
    Bring it on!

Let's face it, unless it's GWR it's bound to be difficult or awkward. Hopefully the Coal is small enough to get through that slot!

I appreciate you guys will be very busy just now, but I sent "broomhalla" a pm when he first announced basic details of the Thursday night photo shoot ,and I've not had a reply. As he said there were limited numbers, does this mean I've missed out, or can I just turn up at the shed?
    Cheers
