I believe that the interference is track resonance - a common experience with long-welded rails.

 

Does anyone know if D345 will be leading back to Carnforth from York this afternoon or will it be on the rear ?

 

It’s surprising how nothing else was affected only this one and I’ve filmed there many times and never picked up anything before.

 

You can also get it with long lengths of steel when handling it.

If they are "currently awaiting provisional timings", what do you call the quoted timings? Whatever you call them, they are surprising; on the way out, nearly five hours from Newcastle to Edinburgh during which to eat your three-course brunch; just over three hours on the way back for your six-course dinner.
