our latest news update is on our website. Although there isn’t much to write about, there is plenty of progress being made at both ends of our line. Lots of positivity at the railway, and a great 1940s/vintage day to come on 26th August.

What is the plan for 5619 when it is finished? Will it stay at Telford or go out on hire?

 

Hi @Simon Smith. Thanks for your question. AFAIK There are currently no plans for 5619 to go out on loan when she is back in service.

 

Hi all

Here is our latest news update. The big news is that 5619 passed her steam test and is now back in service. Her first public trains will be this Sunday, 10th September so please come and visit us if you can. I will be at Spring Village station, and would love to say hello!

Hi all

Here is the latest news update. 5619 is back in service, and we are getting ready for our ‘anything goes’ diesel gala next Sunday.

Eagle and Tom will TNT passenger trains, alternating with Pacer 142058. Hector will be giving brakevan rides at Spring Village station. Jammo and 144013 might join in the fun. We will see what happens on the day.

A new venture for us!

We have uploaded our first ‘Railway Roundup’ video onto Youtube. Hopefully this will be the first of a regular series to let our supporters see and hear what has been going on the the railway. We can improve on lots of things, but I hope you find it interesting and enjoyable to watch .



All the diesels and stock are in place for our ‘Anything Goes’ diesel gala tomorrow. First departure from Spring Village is at 9:45am. If you are coming to visit us, I hope you have a great time. I will be secondman on ‘Tom’ and manning the secondhand bookstore throughout the day. Please come and say hello.

Great day . Thanks to all involved . Such a friendly railway . Everyone so cheerful and helpful .

I’m so glad you had a great time at our railway. We try our best to be as friendly and helpful as we can. It costs us nothing, but makes such a difference to our passengers. Hi all

Here is the latest news update from the railway. We have sourced a new vertical steam boiler for our tram which is for sale at £8500. Not only is this significantly cheaper than what we were quoted to have one built for us, but will also mean our tram could be back in steam much quicker. Please help us if you can by donating to our gofundme appeal (the link is in the news update).

here is the latest news update from the railway. Jammo is off on a holiday, and we end the season on Sunday with our mixed traffic gala, starring 5619, Eagle, Tom and a Pacer. The timetable is in the news update.

Here is the latest update from the railway. Our 2023 season has nearly finished, with all volunteer effort now going to get the railway ready for the Polar Express. 2023 has not been without its challenges, but overall it’s been a successful year, especially with 5619 now back in steam
