Bluebell Railway General Discussion

73082 appears to have an exhaust steam injector. Where did they get that from? I assume it did not survive the stay in Barry.

 

According to the Camelot book ("From Barry to the Bluebell") it came from Italian State Railways, cost £1,000 including transport from Italy. It's not clear when that was (to set the price in today's terms) but probably late 1980s or maybe early 1990s.

The News Year;'s Day timetable has been emended to include Sir Archibald Sinclair. Not sure if the times have changed or just an engine swap - in any case, I think this will probably be the first public opportunity to ride behind Sir Archie since return to traffic, unless you are booked on a Santa service.
