LE movements, ECS and test runs 2023

Heard a whistles and tones this morning across Cambridge this morning, any ideas what it could be? Can’t find anything on RTT so I’m wondering if it’s a certain Gresley 4-6-2. Unfortunately I’m at our other site so I can’t pop my head over the fence to have a look.

46115 at Oxenholme with the Settle and Carlisle Santa Special ECS move to Carlisle . Had expected 46115 on the front like last year but sadly the 47 was leading.

 

LSL Black 5 No.45231 speeds round the curve at Heamies Farm, Norton Bridge with yesterdays ECS move to Southall in readiness for the following days York trip.

 

Brilliant! Who would have thought when BR got rid of steam in 1968 that 55 years later we would see sights like this? I certainly didn't.

RTT now showing that today’s path 5M50 Carnforth Steamtown to Hellifield GL has been activated. Anyone know what’s running?
