My money is on 47564.

 

But, for me, my dream loco would be 31806 chimney facing Tunbridge Wells West. It's in my much prefered BR colour and numbering for all SR locos (other colour schemes and numbers are available for those that prefer them), and it would go very nicely with three photos I have of SR Moguls, (N class 31852 twice and 31823) at/near Groombridge in 1962. And, as 31806 was originally a 2-6-4t it would also go rather well with 80078! So, please father Christmas, can you put 31806 in my stocking this year.

I've been given the go ahead to announce this visitor (did I say steam, diesel or maybe a brake van?) but this thread has given me great amusement reading back through some of it so I think I'll wait until later today.

It isn't 7714 though if you want it narrowed down.

Well, I have sent a special delivery letter to Santa Claus, c/o his elves at the North Pole, saying I'd give up my chocolate voles (an enormous sacrifice for an owl) this year if he can put 31806 or 78019 in my stocking. I have already ordered an extra large stocking to hang at the end of my nest, so either loco will fit.

 

Fenchurch must be worth a shout, no? She seems to be going just about everywhere else at the moment.

 

35029 on a repair and run basis.... May require a little bit of boiler work.....

Oh, if we are expanding beyond locos - can it be Beavertail observation car No. 1729? Nothing to do with the carriage, but 1729 is the smallest number that can be expressed as the sum of two cubes in two different ways. You could promote the first - and perhaps last - Hardy-Ramunajan themed gala …

(10 cubed + 9 cubed; or 12 cubed + 1 cubed, for those wondering).
