The condition suggests it is not regarded as significant historically, only 15 made, the 28XX class a better representation of the type, time to release from the collection ?

Isn't it the only surviving British three-cylinder standard gauge freight engine?

Excluding Garratts, every other surviving large freight design I can think of (including but not limited to 2800s/2884s, 4200s/5205s, the new-build 4700, GCR 8K and ROD -2-8-0s, LNWR Super D, Q6, 9Fs, 8Fs, 7Fs, S15s, WD 2-8-0 and WD 2-10-0's) is two-cylinder.

Remember seeing this loco in use one foggy autumn gala on the North Yorks Moors. With the small wheels and three cylinders it sounded like some huge beast was ascending Darnholme at high speed, surprise when it appeared from the gloom.
