How easy is it to have a listed structure 'delisted'?

We have a signal structure that was 'listed' many years back, it has just one fixed distant arm on it.
We would like to reuse the structure with new arms etc., in conjunction with our resignalling of Oswestry South area.
    Any thoughts?

I could type the whole process out for you but its easier just to link to this which explains it all and saves my fingers! https://historicengland.org.uk/images-books/publications/guidance-de-listing-building/ albeit looking at your location are you in England or Wales, if its the latter I assume Cadw will have similar processes and guidance in place.

I've done a few over the years and its normally a case of illustrating that either a) it never actually met the principles of selection criteria in the first place or b) subsequent evidence has come to light to show it doesn't meet criteria.

In terms of reuse are you planning to move the whole thing or just reconfigure it as the latter (and possibly the former) could actually be covered off by an LBC application, for instance I have moved several monuments over the years to facilitate development via the LBC process?

do you have a photo of how it used to be hung, and how you propose to rehang the arms? it looks like it used to have 3 arms on each post...

Distant for Oswestry North - Platform Home ( slotted with Oswestry North ) and calling on?

We are definitely in England ( Shropshire...)...
Plan is, at the moment, to restore the two top arms and distant arms, with a shunting disc in between for the middle road.
Where the footpath is used to be the down main, but as the layout has changed, the signal needs to be altered too.
It is NOT planned to replace the C/O arms and permissive working that used to be here, but use Absolute block on the Up and
Down platforms, with the middle road being bi directional for engine release. The fixed distants were originally provided for
the two single lines beyond Oswestry North, as this had been double track from Llanymynech in years gone by.
Limited track circuiting used to exist but has long since disappeared... this will be partially reinstated in time.
