    It survives, but the days are definitely numbered. Network Rail possession for this weekend will see it gone. From the documents I've seen it's due to be haibed out Saturday and taken away for cutting up, which is sad given that was always what stopped any preservation attempt to date. Even more disappointing is that DB appear not to be replying to anyone who is attempting to save it at this late hour.

    Went to capture this yesterday before it's gone. Interesting how after all the years it's been sat there someone has finally decided it needs to go, maybe they are doing something with the siding it sits in? If it has any spare parts that would be of use in preservation it would be a shame for them just to go for scrap, but then from all accounts that would not be for a lack of trying.

    Hasn't gone far.

    just to the other end of the siding.
    I think it is due to go very soon and access is better.

    Yes I meant 'go' in the sense that they're removing it or breaking it up altogether (the latter I think), I imagine the required machinery will be able to access it from the car park.
