Yes, but am a little concerned at the non arrival of the tickets yet. I put the delay down to the issues with 6201. Have you got yours ?

I'm not on it, but when I was at Crewe on Monday I was assured that 6201 was fully fit.

It should be a good run over S&C as I think there will only be 7/8 carriages.

More or less on time (1020-ish) thru Doncaster.
Load is about 12, mostly blood & custards, no diesel.

Running slightly ahead of time and having caught up a 'Pacer' 6201 was accelerating hard after being checked by signals at Goose Hill Jct., Normanton. David

Nice shot, I like the way you've got the Emley Moor mast in.

    Nice photo :)

Weather seemed to have played fair with, unlike myself on Anglesey waiting for the Duchess.

On one of the wettest days I can recall on Shap & the S&C, I managed a video of Lizzie as she was more or less on time just north of Garsdale -- and the rain held off just long enough -- unlike at Scout Green where I have an interesting vid of the Scot storming up Shap seen through a wet and misty lense !!

Small world Ralph, now I know who to look out for. I thought you were quite brave (mad) in getting out of the car a long time before I did.
At least it wasn't as wet as Shap!!

Mike, although I had been there earlier I was still not quite sure exactly where I was going to go, I had thought of heading up the hillside but the sound would have not been to good up there so in the end I stayed put. Yes it is better on the top for getting the going away shot...

Bobbler, I had not noticed that, but if you listen carefully as 6201 gets further away, you can hear some conversation from a couple of guys who were already walking away and discussing the shot.
