Does anyone have an idea what locomotive might be used for Tuesdays Canterbury run...?

 

Are they no longer sending out tickets in the post?

 

Don't think I have had "tickets in the post" for any concert, event or trip I have booked on line for at least the last 4 years. You print at home or have on your phone.

 

So are we getting a Scot on the front for the steam leg?

It's a while since I've travelled with Saphos but I'm considering booking on a Fellsman later in the year. Please can anyone help, is First Class (non-dining) located in "proper" coaches with toplights?

 

On the normal formation 2 of the 3 coaches are for 1st class are MK1s. Both Dining or standard is MK1 carriages as well.

Coach J is the Mk2. Might be worth ringing their booking office after you have booked and seeing if they can seat you in one of the other two First Class coaches, which will both be Mk1s. No guarantee though. Or book Standard Class instead, which will be in the Mk1 buffet coach.

A slowish coast here - still running very early perhaps? I'm confused by the two-tone horn here - what was that from? I notice that its return was also very early - no pathing stop at Headcorn.

 

two tone horn was from a very obnoxious crossing train warning sounder.
